PORTAL 2 LEVEL EDITOR

About
Portal 2 is a puzzle platformer where player can make portals and teleport to any part of the map.
I designed three chambers (Levels) in its level editor.
To challenge my self I gave a word and tried to design the whole level around it and the word was 'JUMP'.
Each levels in the chambers are made in a huge area to give the player a sense of having more space and a feeling of openness.
SHOOT - EM UP

About
SHMUP (Shoot - Em - Up) was a small 3 months project where I designed three levels by taking the essence of classic shoot em up games like Nokia's Space Impact.
I designed this level by thinking about a story in my mind and using this story as the base of the levels I took inspiration from real life sidewalks. Just how sidewalks are designed so that no matter what happens people tend to follow them, similarly these levels design was done in such a way that gives the player intended experience. To do this I placed different enemies and hazardous mechanics in player's path.

WARCRAFT 3 LEVEL DESIGN

About
Warcraft is a real time strategy game. I designed complete quest in Warcraft 3 Level Editor including a complete backstory that revolves around this level. My challenge in this level design was to apply the elements of the story and tell this story with the help of the environment and the quests itself. The Story revolved around a defected mind of the main character where he is fighting with his own self in his mind, this gave me a huge area to explore where I researched on the people who face psychosis and used the experience to create the level so that the players can feel the same.
As Warcraft is a strategy game the level needs to be well balanced and rational. Hence I also created a balance sheet.

About
Magic The Gathering is one of the oldest card games out there. We as a class were given a small activity where we had to make a complete deck for MTG. Each student were asked to make 8 cards and all the cards had to be balanced should synergies with each other so that it can make a great playable deck.
A new element was added in this deck which was called 'Endurance' where if the creature gets damage and survives, it gains attack +1 / +1 defense.

About
Roll the ball is a small roll the ball game which is made as a tribute to the game 'Monkey Marble'. As a college project I created two levels in which one was a solo level and another was a level made by two people.
I started designing this level by the intention of giving player a experience of how a skateboarder feels when he rides a skate board. I took this as a challenge and designed all the obstacles and the level by taking inspiration of real like skateboarding tracks. The objective of each level was to collect three orbs to complete the level.
